John Nicholas Zigouras began his legal career in October 1960, working as an article clerk at a prominent Melbourne law firm. He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1963 and shortly afterwards founded his own practice, focusing on workers’ compensation (now WorkCover).

In 1964, J.N. Zigouras & Co was officially established, initially serving unions and Victoria’s Greek community. Over time the firm grew in stature and reach. By the mid-1970s, it was recognised as one of Victoria’s leading workers’ compensation firms. 

Today, WorkCover and related injury law remain our core specialisation, though our expertise extends to:

• Conveyancing
• Other personal injury matters
